Microsoft is reportedly in the process of rolling out Xbox Series X server blades for Xbox cloud gaming.

According to numerous players, Xbox Series X server blades are now live for some games, providing a significant performance boost.

Xbox’s cloud gaming service launched powered by Xbox One S consoles in server blades, but Microsoft recently confirmed plans to upgrade to Xbox Series X hardware in the near future.

“We’re now in the final stages of internal testing, and we’ll be upgrading the experience for [Xbox Game Pass] Ultimate members in the next few weeks,” Kareem Choudhry, head of cloud gaming at Microsoft, said earlier this month.

While Microsoft still hasn’t made an official announcement about the rollout of Xbox Series X server blades for cloud gaming, many users are reporting significant improvements to load times and frame rates.

Microsoft currently offers cloud gaming on Android mobile devices as part of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service. And in April it began inviting Game Pass Ultimate members to a cloud gaming beta for Windows 10 PCs and Apple devices via web browsers Edge, Chrome and Safari.

Cloud gaming will be added directly into the Xbox app on PC and integrated into the Xbox console experience later this year.
